A 75-year-old high on Ambien survived a nightmare plane crash.
A disoriented Washingtonian frantically called 911 to report that his small plane had gone down near Seattle — but the alleged wreck was nothing but a sleeping pill-fueled dream, officials said.
The man, who was not identified, took half an Ambien pill before bed last month because he was recovering from surgery and had trouble sleeping, he told KOMO News.
But hours into his slumber, the man called emergency dispatch. He told them that his small cargo plane had crashed on its way from his hometown of Renton, just south of Seattle, to Oregon. The other three people in the plane were unconscious, he told the 911 dispatcher.
