The GOP is attempting to pull a slick one with their support of Donald Trump...

And, so far, they are being successful.

Almost all those running for Congress and the Senate support Donald privately but they don't want to say so publicly. They are afraid that he will drag them under. So, they plan on remaining silent as long as they can.

Democrats should make sure the voters know, before the election, whether or not their opponents support Donald Trump. Once this tyrant is installed in office, we need to know who to hold accountable?

At the same time, these Republicans do not want to say that they do not support Trump because they are fearful that Trump supporters will see them as traitors and refuse to vote for them in the election. So, they have painted themselves into a "Catch-22" corner where they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. So, their plan is to stay silent and try to have their cake and eat it too.

The Democrats should make sure they take away that option.

As usual. No surprise there. Trump boasts as many deferments as Dick 'No Show' Cheney (R).

we have lots of time and don't want to tip our hand too early. I would think that we should press those running sometime around early September.

The Democrats running for office should label their opponents as Trump supporters. At that point their Republican opponents would either have to defend being a Trump supporter, or deny being a Trump supporter. Even continued silence would imply that they are a Trump supporter.
