(45,251 posts)left his last Congressional term five months into it would not be a genius move, IMO.
And let's not even discuss the intern.

I hope it is a mutual and amicable decision with her and her husband, that's all.
Life is endlessly surprising and resistance to change is often futile.

28 years is a really long time.
So much change to go through. ✌️

(45,251 posts)I have noticed, too, that, somehow, parties manage to limp through what one or both say is an "unbearable" marriage, until one or both find someone else (or someone else finds him or her).

(25,704 posts)I learned one lesson:. One should not fuck up your kids childhood because one feels "love" or bored or one wants to find someone new who makes I one's crotch feel nice. This has fucked up so many of my peers' lives. Once one becomes a parent one does not get to play Russian roulette with your children's lives.
I know nothing of this Mika's particular circumstance. But if she is running away from her family they will hate her forever.

(11,119 posts)No. Let's NOT discuss Joe's intern. Did I mention that she was dead? Her body was found under mysterious circumstances....

(45,251 posts)because he was out of town. I guess that was the reason she was spending the night at the office?

(11,119 posts)We should NOT discuss the strange circumstances surrounding her mysterious murd...er, ugh DEATH!

(11,119 posts)I think it was posited that the dead intern was pregnant and running a DNA test on the infant's remains might reveal who the father was....But we know that the father COULDN'T be Joe...

Scar is a rude, bombastic, arrogant Re-Thug. A freakin' RE-THUG. Mika, how could you?
Leaving your husband for a guy your own father ( Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski) said of him, "You have such a stunningly superficial knowledge of what went on that it's almost embarrassing to listen to you."

(30,803 posts)Not that it was ever very stark or well-articulated. But lately they seem to have an understanding in which they are of a single mind on issues - Joe's, of course.

(18,187 posts)but now it reminds me of the cool/mean kids table in the middle school lunchroom. At other times it's like watching Peter Pan with Mika in the role of Wendy trying to rein in all the naughty boys showing off to impress her.
Joe (or maybe Willie) let it slip a few months ago that Mika had bet Mike Barnicle a pick-up truck that Trump would win the Republican nomination. I'm not sure if it was a serious bet, but it did underscore how out of touch they are with regular people.
