It's an interesting interview because most of our media would never do this interview. It's a rare chance and a truly interesting interview.

but she does seem like a genuine or at least non-violent person. Interesting to hear.

Just discovered the site and wow, great stuff, would give us some hope that your politics in the US isn't as sterile as it looks through mainstream media. Anyway my main interest is Cuba and lots to say on the situation there, what's real and what isn't and what should happen and what shouldn't. But for now it's great to see Mariela Castro is in the US being as logical and reasonable on the issue of gay rights as anybody in any so called 'liberal democracy'

In the 6 years that I've been visiting Cuba I've seen already many changes and gay rights is one of them. The Malecon on a Friday and Saturday (just down embankment from Hotel Nacional)night is a bastion for literally many hundreds of Gay, lesbian and TG & TV Cubans dancing, drinking, socialising and having fun in a totally open and proper way. I'm not gay myself but have wandered down there on a number of occasions just for the 'craic' as we Irish. Not a sign of 'persecution' in sight......

anyway looking forward to the site and at last having some proper political debate on the issues in, and affected by, american politics

hasta la victoria siempre
