Inhofe not the greatest pilot?

"In October 2010, the Inhofe patriarch sent construction workers fleeing in terror as he landed at Cameron County Airport in south Texas. A Federal Aviation Administration investigation determined that Inhofe knew the runway was temporarily closed and chose to land anyway.

He “sky hopped” over six vehicles and “scared the crap out of” the workers on the runway, according to FAA records."

And he just had another close call.
A danger to himself and others?
If he wasn't a senator I doubt that he'd still have a license.

as per the article and rough weather. Not really his fault this time. Was he flying the plane or just a passenger, the article doesn't say?

Says he was "forced" to land at that airport because of bad weather, which suggests he didn't plan the flight very well. If the bad weather was too close it could have also caused microburst conditions, or severe crosswinds that drove the plane off the narrow runway. Inhofe wouldn't be the first to use the "deer on the runway" excuse to cover for a screw up.

says he was the only one in the plane so I'd surmise from that he was the pilot
