Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told reporters on Tuesday that he will meet with House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) and the House sergeant-at-arms on Tuesday afternoon to discuss whether to launch a formal investigation into the sit-in demonstration staged by House Democrats at the end of June, according to the Washington Post.
McCarthy said that House Democrats "went beyond the rules" during the sit-in calling for votes on gun control legislation. The House was in recess for most of the sit-in, though House leaders managed to hold votes on a bill to address the Zika virus over the chants of protests from Democratic members of Congress.
"We expect members of Congress to adhere to the rules and decorum," McCarthy told reporters, according to the Washington Post.
Democrats used cell phones and social media to post updates and stream video of the protest while the House was adjourned, which is not allowed. McCarthy also told reporters that he has heard that House Democrats used "intimidation" against staffers during the protest, according to The Hill.

When there was commotion, when there was spectacle?
When the Democrats started filming?
How come it takes hearsay to bring forth this charge of intimidation?
