Please help me draft this letter to MSNBC - Edit at will, my friends

Dear Sir,

Over the past several weeks, social media and other information outlets have observed something that most of us have realized for some time. Specifically, that the two hosts of your broadcast, “Morning Joe,” are involved in a personal relationship.

On the surface, there’s nothing wrong with that. No one can help with whom they fall in love. We should always celebrate the joy of two people finding their soul mates.

But your program is a news and information broadcast. That is no place for a soap operetta to be playing out. How can you expect your viewers to take this broadcast seriously? Obviously, this relationship creates an inappropriate environment for the discussion of the serious issues before the American people.

In case you and your producers were unaware of this budding relationship, may I suggest that you wake up and smell the morning joe? If, indeed, you are professionals, you are not going to like what you find.

Do your damn jobs.

Sincerely,
A viewer who gave up on MSNBC long ago

My point is that as a so-called news organization, MSNBC should present the news professionally. What they're broadcasting is a sit-com.

I used to enjoy the show until it became a propaganda tool for Trump.

They never were really news people. Their show is flagellation of the political nerve endings, that's all. It's about holding attention of viewers -- being interesting. If Mary Matlin and James Carvell hosted a morning show, that would be interesting. Well, in Mika and Scarborough you have Matalin and Carvell light.

Dear Sir,

I watch 'Morning Joe' religiously but I would never admit that to any of my cool friends, so please roll with it when I say I don't actually watch MSNBC.

Now about the show - it's not my business and it really has nothing to do with the content either, but don't you think the hosts are getting just a bit too kissy-kissy? Myself, I haven't had sex for a really long time and it's making me simultaneously horny and bitter.

Well that's it, I don't have a point really.

Yours sincerely,

A Sadass

Incidentally, the 10 or 15 seconds I've seen of Morning Joe on autoplaying internet video clips over the last few years serve only to remind me why I don't watch any cable news or talk to people who get their news from the television. From what I can tell, the show looks like shit. But if the host and hostess are getting it on, why on earth should anyone else give a fuck?

Let it play out. The ending of the romance might be ugly enough to end the show.
