In the video, the woman says the officer asked her boyfriend for his license and registration. She says the man told the officer it was in his wallet but that he also had a pistol he was licensed to carry.

“The officer said, ‘Don’t move,”’ the woman in the video says. “As he was putting his hands back up, the officer shot him in the arm four or five times.”

At one point, the policeman can be heard saying: “I told him not to reach for it. I told him to get his hand out.”

What's the solution? Should people drive with their ID and wallet on the dashboard so there's no chance a twitchy cop will mistake a reach for a wallet for an attempt to draw a weapon?

one of these incidents happens. And its the same MO by the establishment's enforcers, the murder, the character assassination, the "investigation" that results MOST of the time in a whitewash. On the rare occasion it goes to trial, there's an acquittal and no one EVER actually goes to jail. Hell, most of the time they don't even lose their jobs.

This is pure intimidation by the enforcers of the establishment on the most oppressed segment of the population. And it won't stop until we have a true revolution and these guys are tried by a people's tribunal made up OF that most oppressed segment of the population.

Also, purge the people who recruit, or refuse to screen out, racists and bigots.

Drug test cops at random. Cops are notorious for pumping themselves up with steroids.

Purge cops suspected of having PTSD. Law enforcement is no place for a shell-shocked veteran whose mental wounds have not healed.

We need to hold law enforcement to superhero life-preserving standards, not gestapo executioner standards.

On Twitter I was informed that it's normal if a policeman is informed of concealed-carry weapon to draw their gun for safety. I'm fine with that. The girlfriend reported that the victim reached for his wallet as he informed the officer and was told to get his hands out instead, he complied, then was shot as he put his hand back up. So this cop is either some kind of quick-draw artist and fired before the victim had time to comply, or he had his gun out before approach.

Plus...the driver did nothing wrong except having a broken tail light, and had two passengers, one of them a child. That should be some context clues that this isn't going to immediately escalate to gunfire.

If this had been a white family and the cop shot a father in front of his wife and child in this manner, he'd be in jail.

Murdering psychopath cops on the rampage again, and of course the victims seem to be black males. In this case the cop shot a guy for reaching for his ID after TELLING the guy to get his ID. WTF? Are cops seriously so trigger happy and paranoid? Do they doubt their ability to shoot the guy in time, if they see he's actually pulling out a gun? Things can't keep going on like this or we might have some real riots again. Cops seriously need to be reigned in and disciplined harshly when they screw up this bad.

Guns are not terribly useful for self defense anyways. A bad guy who wants to shoot a cop will shoot first and do it when the victim least expects it.

I think a few years teaching in a rough urban public school would be good training for cops.

Teachers are not allowed to shoot or physically assault the kids who are disruptive. Teachers have to learn non-violent means of asserting their authority.

There are far too many cops who are bad guys themselves, their fragile egos held together by guns, steroids, and various other forms of power tripping.
