Really. Really?!?
Do you want to know what a major national security breach was? NINE FUCKING ELEVEN was a major national security breach. How far down in the W administration did you have to go to find someone who lost their job over that one? How many Republicans were OUTRAGED over that national security breach? Fucking zero, that's how many. Fuck them and their fake outrage.

(56,828 posts)Petraeus is a Republican, and his mistress was a Republican fundraiser, so anything bad they do is the fault of Obama, Hillary Clinton and/or Bill Clinton.

BUT
Don't fall into the logical fallacy of trying to equate two completely unrelated events.
It's creates a rationalization to excuse any issue or concern.
The FBI investigation is over and it's done and settled but it doesn't mean it was not a valid issue to look at, regardless of what was or was not investigated before this or after this.

(36,023 posts)Every million spent on their harassment and gaslighting of our president and every other Democrat they deem "vulnerable" has been systematic fraud against doing The People's business.
Never give them the benefit of their hate-motivated doubts. That there is the logic fallacy.

(8,695 posts)I'm not interested in faux outrage or partisan bullshit.
My only point is in our zeal to advocate for our candidates that we not be so dismissive and jaded that we forget that no matter the letter after their name, they are as accountable for their actions as anyone else.
As I stated, in the case of HRC and the emails, there has been an investigation, the issue is settled, let us move on.

(58,647 posts)They have been fishing in the Clinton pond since the 70's and all they have to show for it is a couple of undersized crappie.
When oh when does the "Boy Who Cried Wolf" realization kick in? There is no there there.

(8,695 posts)But history has shown us that, no matter the politics of the family, any political family, there are always skeletons in the closet, it's always comes down to if we want to look hard enough or not.
No family involved in politics for decades is lily white.

(58,647 posts)The outrage here is that the Repubs get away with this shit. It is things like this that motivate me to vote against every Repub I see on a ballot, at any level of gov't.

(1,325 posts)Wasn't it around 22 million emails that Rove kept on his "personal" server and not the official White House server? He deleted them all to little or no real outrage. Now that's a breach!!!

But, wait ... that was lauded as heroism by the same DU folks outraged by this HRC thing.

(46,179 posts)who didn't allow GWB and his minions to use 9-11 to scare me into accepting his illegitimate administration, who didn't accept Pelosi's "impeachment is off the table" pronouncement because she's so "liberal," as someone who STILL wants GWB and his administration prosecuted, and who did not make up excuses for our current Democratic president for not fighting to do just that...
Trying to distract people from Clinton's serious liabilities by waving GWB at them is simply not going to work in November. And we've seen it coming all along.
We know this is prime fodder for Republicans that will be exploited all the way to November.
I'd suggest that trying to pretend it's not an issue is hypocritical at best, and just as politically manipulative as the other side.
