That's all we can hope for at this point. The public is a powder keg at this moment, not to mention the LEOs. We need to be careful, extremely careful, what is said at this point.

I had just checked in with my phone when I turned on the TV - a couple of hours ago. MSNBC said the "person of interest" and one suspect are "in custody." This is from the Dallas PD, from MSNBC.

I'm glad to know they have a suspect also in custody! That's assuming they're not confusing the same person? Everything is so confusing tonight.

One day he got off the phone noticeably upset so I asked him what was wrong - and he said that his friend's younger brother accidentally shot himself and had died. I was pretty shocked but he said everyone has guns where he's from. I realize that's just one isolated incident, but it certainly stuck in my mind.

My post in your thread were not intended to dispute your point. I was trying to explain the initial confusion on the topic. I wasn't saying I agreed with the Dallas PD in what they said! It was appalling to me, just to be clear.

I'm never very articulate, and tonight I may be worse than normal. I apologize if I in anyway made you feel I was defending their statement. I wasn't. That I swear to you.
