http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2016/07/07/hillary-clinton-james-comey-alan-dershowitz-editorials-debates/86823120/FBI Director James Comey was correct in his conclusion that no reasonable prosecutor would indict Hillary Clinton based on the evidence. But he raised troubling questions by going beyond that conclusion and expressing his opinion that Clinton had been extremely careless in her handling of sensitive material.
It is not generally the job of an FBI director to describe and assess the evidence in a public statement. Nor is it the job of an FBI director to make delicate judgment calls as to whether a prosecution should be brought. That discretionary decision is usually left to experienced prosecutors.

As usual, the Dersh gets it right. Well said!

(3,490 posts)1. No doubt Comey effed up on Tuesday
He should publicly retract his statement about the three emails which he referenced as classified info but were not classified.

I listened to about 2 hours of MSNBC coverage after the hearing, and no mention was made. WTF?

(90,335 posts)5. +1, Kornacky wouldn't get off the talking point that she said she sent no classified emails ...
... of course they weren't marked as such.
Comey said the others 100 were "deemed" classified by the depts ... that does Clinton no good
Its like she has to explicity say she didn't KNOWINGLY send classified emails for the MSM not to go ape shit
