His was the ONLY photo broadcast across all media in connection with the attack, and not only as a person of interest. Tweets from authorities also incorrectly identified him as a suspect. The ONLY "suspect" identified with a photo, which is still out there.

He doesn't deserve to be getting threats and have to fear for his life.

Video documented the guy being in the street when the shooting started, and also showed him turning the weapon over to a police officer. How was blasting his photo across the net as a "suspect" in any way legitimate?

10. Simple miscommunication

When people are getting shot, ending with five people dead and a dozen injured, sometimes one hand doesn't wash the other. I can only imagine how many people were nervous seeing this jackass with a gun and in the panic immediately thought of him as they ran for their lives.

Here's a good tip to avoid it. Don't carry tools whose only use is to kill around, openly, like an asshole. It'll keep you off any suspect list.
