A few hours in local radio Wingnut self-delusion:
Yesterday the two wingnuts cohosting the local radio circus were thrilled about the COMEY hearings, well thrilled that his findings had given them plenty of ammunition (there will be a lot of gun imagery here because these two love their guns).
But also they had lots and lots of gripes, whining, and moaning, especially that COMEY didn't pull the indictment trigger after he had fully loaded the gun. Btw, they completely ignored his repeated and repeated exegesis of the legal reasons for his Recommendation.
This is a wingnut pair made up of an Old White Wingnut male and his (self-styled "Millennial"
minority female. After they had moaned about their bigger issues, she brought up one of her more minor pouty peeves, "Why did those two Democrats bring up totally OFF the subject topics like the cops shooting Blacks!!!!!!!!" The old wingnut couldn't say why.
I e-mailed them explaining that the charade of the "hearings" and perpetual investigations are at the expense of REAL problems, which is what the two Dem congresscritters were pointing out.
So this morning I sent them another one saying, "I guess after Dallas you know why the Dems made their point.
I also predicted that the wingnuts will now be kicking themselves that the media attention will be OFF the COMEY hearing. They will also be (privately) claiming that Dallas was OPPORTUNISTIC *and* a conspiracy to help Hillary.
