Police choose their profession. It seems to me that they are accepting some degree of risk. Things that shouldn't happen sometimes do, and that is especially true of situations that are inherently risky. To take it on voluntarily is one thing. For the possibility of danger to be determined by unavoidable, involuntary skin color is entirely different.

America doesn't consider the lives of black people to be as valuable as those of white people. And this is a huge source of violence and injustice in this country.
