Strong, strong, strong General Mike Flynn can't seem to keep a consistent stance on right to choose.

surprised?

as if this moment on google news:

https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=gen.+flynn+abortion&tbm=nws

on Sunday, he was FOR the right to choose, then this:

'General Flynn has disqualified himself from consideration as Vice President. His pro-abortion position is unacceptable and would undermine the pro-life policy commitments that Mr. Trump has made throughout the campaign,' Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of Susan B. Anthony List, told NBC News.

..................

leading to this: Nicole Wallace and what's her name on MSNBC, whose show is on now, just discussed the fact that he's SWITCHED since yesterday. what a strong-willed person; decisive, bold, brave, uncompromising. a GENERAL!
I can't find a single reference to this online.

would you like to have been riding with this brave, brave leader into the valley of death with those other 598 stalwart souls?

Trump has him as an 'advisor,' and he told chuck todd that he likes him a lot; some site quotes doncon as watching tv for most of his military/foreign policy advice....pretty funny

this is a decent take on what's going with this strong strong leader:

read the comments; pretty entertaining

btw, while slogging around, I came across a great post of yours from the old DU, centering around one of my favorite topics: gingrich and the control of language. remember that one? it was pretty detailed.

7. I may not remember that specific post, but I've ranted about that whole newt and his little book

of words and phrases, many times.

I just like reminding about it. The scheming psy-ops of which gingrich was a latter day master. He's the one who really upped the ante on nasty, back in the 80s. I believe he originally rode in on reagan's coattails in that nauseating wave of red in 1980. And from there he was loud and nasty and bullying and swaggered around like some King Kong figure, bragging about his "status" as a "back bench bomb thrower." Gee, newty, so "impressed" that you love yourself so damn much. No wonder you kept trading in one wife for another - looking for that level of worship, I suppose (as well as fresh young meat, that is). He was arrogance embodied. And sure enough, he rose quickly and high enough that eventually, he pushed Democrat Jim Wright out of the Speaker's job and took it for himself. Ironically enough, he lacerated Wright for a dicey book deal that he himself had, for his own book, as it was later learned.

In May 1988, Gingrich (along with 77 other House members and Common Cause) brought ethics charges against Democratic Speaker Jim Wright, who was alleged to have used a book deal to circumvent campaign-finance laws and House ethics rules. During the investigation, it was noted Gingrich had his own unusual book deal, for Window of Opportunity, in which publicity expenses were covered by a limited partnership, which raised $105,000 from Republican political supporters to promote sales of Gingrich's book.[31] Gingrich's success in forcing Wright's resignation was in part responsible for his rising influence in the Republican caucus.[32]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newt_Gingrich

The hypocrisy continued from questionable book deals to questionable spousal loyalty. He presided, in the House Speaker job he stole, over the impeachment persecution of Bill Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky affair - which was pathetic in and of itself since their premier attack dog and dirt-digger, kenneth starr, couldn't come up with ANYTHING else after years of "investigating" everything and anything and never coming up with anything more than a stained blue dress, and some 70-MILLION of our tax dollars squandered. The most pathetic part of all that was that HE HIMSELF was engaged in serial philandering, casting off one wife after another for one mistress after another with whom HE'D been nookeying behind closed doors - WHILE he was presiding over the Bill-meets-Monica scandal. That was what helped precipitate his own fall from grace and power. Had to step down from the Speakership once he'd also presided over a shellacking at the polls in 1998, where his fellow CONS took it in the shorts for wasting so much taxpayers' money and time, and turning a majority of the electorate against them. And while he had to resign in disgrace, ironically, the President he'd worked so hard to destroy left office on an all-time high of public approval and remains, to this day, one of the most popular and effective Presidents ever.

Yeah, ol' newty. The very FACE of hypocrisy and back-stabbing and double-dealing.

He's the one who issued the guidebook of how you're supposed to weaponize words and terms and phrases, to frame your opposition as bad, badder, and baddest. And evil. And corrupt. And anti-American. And anti-Christian. And all that crap. There were pages filled with guidelines about terms and terminology - to use FOR republi-CONS and AGAINST Democrats. Make sure you use "America" and "family" and "patriotism" and "faith" and all those num-nummy warm/fuzzy words that cast all things CON in a positive, favorable light. In contrast, you were instructed to use another long list of words and phrases whenever you referred to Democrats or liberals as "godless," "unpatriotic," "unAmerican," "anti-family," and all kinds of other mud-slinging. This was a freakin' how-to GUIDEBOOK on character assassination! It was the GOP's "little black book," their "bible" of how to libel, slander, mischaracterize, poison, and destroy the opposition.

I hope he gets to explore the darkest depths of Hades someday. I'm sure the landlord down there already has a nice warm place prepared for him. Who knows? Might even include another nifty little guidebook.

popped em in their players as they drove around seeking power

and they.....won! so far, anyway. it's what got the ball rolling on the Hillary smears for the last twenty years, and the genesis of Whitewater, and subsequent impeachment farce.

it resulted in gingrich's demise as a politician, along with several others, but they still established a bond with the right wing media, and willing compliance from all the other liberal bastards that they railed against.

a former roommate used to tell me stories about Gingrich sneaking over to his current wife's townhouse in south Arlington, while he was still with wife number two, all while he was going hard after WJC for his own peccadilloes. good times! what a total ahole. he's my choice for Veep, because he's so thoroughly unlikable, perhaps even moreso than Christie. go NEWT! show the American people you're even more loathsome than you were four years ago, when you blew your lead in the primaries because everybody KNOWS what an ahole you are. same way Giuliani killed his own campaign because he showed what a viciously crude, hateful specimen he was, even though he was the frontrunner himself, for awhile. THAT was very gratifying when he blew it so publicly. ''Florida strategy!'' remember that?.................HAAAAAAAAAAA

WHOA Nelly! He thought he'd just sit back and let 'em fight it out in the prelims and get themselves all dirty and bloody and tired, and then he'd just sashay his way into Florida, "tanned, rested, and ready," and run 'em all outta town. Yeah. King Rudy. Every time somebody talks about "entitlement", I think of people like him. Just assumed he'd be crowned king. Just assumed it was his without even bothering to have to stoop and ask for it, much less campaign for it. And wouldn't even have to work for it, because 9/11. SCREW him. You're SO 2001, Rudy. STFU! And funny enough, that's what his party basically told him! They laughed him off the primaries. He was a nonstarter the moment he started. His campaign wasn't even DOA, it was DOD. Dead On Departure. Whoever managed his campaign, I hope they're working for Trump!
