I for one am glad she came out against Trump.

Making comments while ruling on a case, even a wrongly decided case, is one thing. Making partisan political comments of the type she made is completely different, IMO.
As I said, not a big deal to me personally, but I don't recall it happening before.

(13,257 posts)Supreme Court is a-political. Yes, we know that the court has often been egregiously political (as in Bush v. Gore). But to express this this way is to indicate that she no longer thinks it's an important principle.
Fictions are fictions, but for people in significant positions to say they no longer respect the fiction that their own position is based on, is to contribute to the process of simply dismantling the entire structure.
