Local Millitary Base workers think Hillary's server caused their identities to be stolen

I was talking to some good friends - one works at a local military base, Army/Fed side...

His wife said - "our identities were stolen because of Hillary's server..." (she doesn't even work there!)

She genuinely believed this - to the point that it seemed possible that they were being FED this info from superiors at work.

I nodded my head and said "wow, that sucks" - and ignored it - because - well - that sounds fucking crazy!

Apparently - some time ago - there WAS some breach involving this base - some one accessed or stole records...

Not sure any of it rose to the level of "identity theft" - and I know the folks relaying this to me haven't experienced identity issues.

I would assume - even IF - Hillary's server DID have something to do with it - they wouldn't reveal it to employees - for the same security and legal reasons...

But - it is concerning - are the higher ups at Military Bases spreading this news - "Hillary Caused Your Identity To Be Stolen"???

Or is it just the rumor-mill?

but it had absolutely nothing to do with Hillary Clinton.

It was a DEERS related hack. I got the DOD/DA letter to prove it.

Many people were affected. Both active duty and their dependents, as well federal/civilian employees working on the various posts.

But it had nothing to do with Hillary Clinton.

Your friends were fed a line of BS.

12. Defense Dept, OPM, Dept of Interior, FDIC etc have all been hacked- but not Hillary's server

Personal info of 4 million federal employees was stolen from Office of Personnel Management by Chinese hackers last year, and most other Federal agencies have also been victims of recent hacks.

But FBI Dir. Comey stated there is no evidence that Hillary's server was ever hacked.

Her emails did not contain account numbers or financial details about federal employees or military personnel anyway.
