(29,199 posts)Obama might have run for a third term and would be wiping the floor with Trump.
If a President decides not to run for another term, the President can wait and announce it 6 to 8 months ahead of the election... and usually it would be the current vice president running for President in that situation. But even if the Vice President doesn't want to run or it's contested, we could wrap up the primary in a much shorter period of time.
The 22nd creates a 2 year "nothing happens" for the elected President... he or she becomes a lame duck while still President.
Even the British abhor this type of system with Cameron announcing he would be gone in 3 months and instead of giving him the 3 month "lame duck" Prime Minister-ship... they booted him out a couple of weeks later.

(1,408 posts)Shammity has been talking about President Obama's war on the police and how his speech yesterday has made race relations between police and "people of color" worse than it has ever been.
I listened for about 45 minutes and couldn't take any more.

(224 posts)Yet they never credit him with the good things. I mean even in the mind of the right winger, they have to at least acknowledge that if Obama is responsible for all things that happen, then he must also be responsible for the good.
