5. Voicing disagreement

with what someone says or how they say it is not necessarily disrespectful.

President Obama has been a great President, and given that he had to deal with a do-nothing Congress for most of his two terms, he's accomplished a great deal. But I don't understand this almost worship that some people have for him, evidenced by the idea that anyone who challenges him or disagrees with him face to face is being disrespectful.

He's a man, not a god. A great man, but still just a man.

Saying "I don't think your statements about xyz have been strong enough" is not disrespectful.
