I'm watching the convention on MSNBC and just realized: Chris Matthews is banished.

True enough, his seat is being warmed by Steve Schmidt, but Lawrence O'Donnell, Brian Williams, and Rachel Maddow fill out the panel.

Matthews is someplace else, checking in with his banalities from time to time. But he is being well controlled and they're not passing it to him any time there is something important (from a broadcasting perspective) happening.

After that, he may never be allowed on air again. He was furious that Republicans are blaming Hillary via one of the mothers.

The Benghazi mother was a low blow but it did make me think of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile.

sources against trump, and he's a republican.

''political tourette's'' is what he calls trumpspeak.

larry odonnell called out speakers tiegen and (dunno his name) for, essentially LYING about the stand down order, which prevented help from arriving. according to OD they could not testify to receiving a stand down order in front of congress, so that means WHEN were they lying?

This claim (made by an anonymous source and publicized by Fox News) has been debunked since the early reports from the CIA (which arrived on the scene within 30 minutes). It also been debunked by the various independent reports.

◾Report: Marine commander says no stand-down order in Benghazi attack
◾House Committee Report Is Latest To Refute Key Element Of Benghazi Hoax: No Stand Down Order Given
◾Lawmakers: No ‘stand down’ order given in Benghazi attack
