Apart from the plagiarism, what was YOUR highlight from last night?

For me, it was two:

1. The mother of one of the Benghazi victims. A most disgusting perfect storm of grief, anger and manipulation.

2. Noun-Verb-9/11 who was just totally unhinged. At first I thought it could be tonally hyperbolic, but it soon became clear that Rudy was Just.Fucking.Nuts.

nights I've ever seen. To quote Molly Ivins: "it probably sounded better in it's original german." The whole thing was unhinged and Rudy sounded like he was channeling Mussolini. The whole circus was incredibly fascistic.

was especially disgusting. I found the overall tone of the speakers to be hateful and divisive.

Even the Republican faithful couldn't stick around for that shit show as they found other things to do in Cleveland that were more entertaining than the convention.

THAT was the highlight of MY evening. What did I miss? Nothing, that's what! Every little detail - replete with nuance - is now available here & elsewhere for my leisurely perusal, minus the staggering boredom inherent to Klowns On Parade.

I couldn't watch long but I laughed when Priebus gave directions to committee goers in the afternoon to use the white elevaqtors. Then he indicated the direction as two o'clock from his position, while saying"four o'clock". Dumbass doesn't know directions using a clock face.

I told you it was a small thing.

I knew that this morning's MSNBC/CNN reviews of opening-night convention fumbles would be all I needed to see.

Tonight on TCM: Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns! Hey, beats the hell out of watching Donald Trump Jr.---he'll probably just recite the Gettysburg Address, swear he wrote it, and call it a night......

18. "His wienership"

OK, this was just a circumstantial thing. My wife and I were both tired, wrangling a crazy ten year old, listening to the irreverent comments on The Young Turks. Michael Flynn was speaking. His diction was poor, and he garbled his words more than a few times. I thought he said, "his wienership." I thought about it for a second, realized he probably said, "his leadership." Then I turned to my wife, and asked, "Did he say what I think he said?"

"His wienership?" she replied.

It didn't really happen, but did it characterize the evening.

I couldn't put up with more than a very short amount of what appeared to be four hours of "Two-Minute Hate."
