Another part of Melania speech appears to have been lifted from an Amazon review

Melania speech:

But these freedoms have come with a price so many times. The sacrifices made by our veterans are reminders to us of this. I would like to take this moment to recognize an amazing veteran, the great Senator Bob Dole. And let us thank all of our veterans in the arena today...

Amazon review:

In Gratitude to our Veterans

By Diana Erbioon March 26, 2013

... Freedom is not Free. The book reminds us of the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families and that all Americans should take the time to thank them.

however, the similarity to Michelle's speech is striking. This...not so much.

He ran for President in 1996, 20 years ago.

She came to NYC in 1996. Do you really think a young model was reading about US politics as soon as she got to the US? I don't.

This reference to Bob Dole indicates to me that she did not write the speech at all.

She is a liar.

Nice try.

I do love that the GOP and troll response to the charge of plagiarism is "Well, they're all just banal platitudes anyway!" I thought it was the best speech ever, really knocked it out of the park?

“Awesome speech! Amazing! Knocked it out of the park!”
“This part here is plagiarized.”
“They’re all just banal platitudes anyway, you know.”

They defend her from plagiarism by showing that she had nothing actually to say. The only benefit is that they get to attack Michelle Obama in the bargain! These people are pathological.

If you can't tell the difference between duplicating idiosyncratic full clauses and paraphrasing trite and ubiquitous mere phrases, stop commenting on plagiarism until you've learned what it is. Advancing "arguments" like this is either a failed sophomoric attempt to show liberals as fools or a sad proof that at least one of them really is. Since RWNJ troublemakers often fall into Poe territory I confess I have no idea which.
