A momentary lapse of reason.

The Republican voters were angry. They felt they were lied to and betrayed by their political Party. They couldn't stop "Obamacare". They couldn't stop the huge government debt. They couldn't stop abortion. They couldn't stop gay rights. Hell, they couldn't even put Hillary in jail! What good were they?

They wanted change. They marched blindly into the dark abyss with Donald Trump. They trusted the huge bag of bullshit. He was like them. He was a successful businessman and that is what this country needed. He promised that they would get tired of "winning". He knew they were tired of losing.

So now, in their anger and irrationality, they swore that they would defeat the most evil person in the world, Hillary Clinton, and they would, once again, be happy. It didn't matter if the whole country had to suffer for their perceived inequities, so long as they were a "winner".
