what is this BULLSHIT about the 'beautifully delivered' speech? did anyone actually pay

attention while she read it off the teleprompter to her left?

almost exclusively, that is. she looked outwardly very occasionally

she read in a flat, emotionless tone, devoid of affect, for the most part, stumbling over many words. the contrast between her delivery and that of Michelle was STRIKING, almost exactly the same way her husband's amazing speech in Dallas differed from twerp #43, who barely looked up from his notes.

the way to see the speeches is to look for the side by side shots of the two women, and note how empty Melania's words seem, how lacking conviction. then, when it's Michelle's turn, you see a vibrant, animated human being, someone who actually believes and understands the words she's saying, projecting an aura of confidence and compassion very much lacking in Melania's rote recitation

am I wrong? these media goobers astound me with their lazy herd behavior. they even went gaga over dumpster boy's WWE foggy entrance, their tongues hanging halfway to their knees in stupefied astonishment. that EVERY SINGLY bobblehead agreed on the brilliance of Melania's oratory is all you need to know how strong the Groupthink rules in Oceania.

And you better believe if she didn't look like that, Trump would have no use for her. She didn't even have a personal vignette about "the Donald". Regardless of how she looks, it was poor decision making on her part to read a speech she didn't bother to double-check before assuming the words as her own.

Maybe they don't want to kick her down anymore then she is. Donald should be the focus. No talk of nasty speeches last night on any network but all about her speech. I personally don't think this should be the focus but the other destructive speeches should be. In fact, with all the drama going on, I wouldn't doubt trump did this himself.

of similar anti-social behaviors.

since it was probably she that did the bulk of the speech, maybe he helped her a bit.

that said, this is just another episode in the endless tale of mendacity that is at the core of doncon the swindler. the media, for whatever reason, chose, for once, to make a big deal out of it instead of the literally countless examples of his perfidy, including, THREE cases of testified to sexual assault. whey have the media NEVER, ever mentioned any of those?

I'm not surprised they concocted some bs about her presentation being "eloquent" and "classy". To them, she's amazing just because she presents as their ideal of femininity – beautiful, well-dressed, thin, white and perfectly content to stay in her place.

I still see Donald Trump as enemy number one, but I have a hard time feeling sympathy for the supportive wife of a lying racist.

What you project as hostility is a reasonable response to the bullshit claim that Hillary=Republican. Accusations of hostility are a favorite tactic by those who want to deflect from the actual discussion, by the way. It's akin to calling someone "defensive" or telling them not to "take it personally."

And if you didn't want a response, then you shouldn't have posted your attack on the Democratic nominee, unless you're simply trolling.

Okay, so they hate Obama for just breathing, but that's beside the point.

But I've listened to this bullshit for seven years..."Obama isn't a good speaker, he just reads off of a TelePrompTer!"

When Melania Trump reads a blatantly plagiarized speech off of a TelePrompTer, she's giving a "beautifully delivered" speech.

The depths of Republican hypocrisy knows no bounds.

Jul 2016

(for someone who has lived in the US for 18 years or so.) My daughter married a Frenchman who spoke almost no English until he came to live here when they married. The French accent is typically one of the hardest ones to lose when speaking in English. Yet after just a couple years of living here and studying English (ESL program) for 1 year, his French accent is quite mild, and he is thoroughly fluent. If Melania is such a "linguist" as claimed, I would expect that she would have far better pronunciation skills by now. I wonder if she took the time and effort to formally study the language and have her pronunciation better coached.

I did not watch the speech last night but, I saw clips this morning and I am in total agreement with you. It was easy to see that she was reading the speech. From what I saw I felt it was a bad idea to have her speak at the convention. I thought most of the people outside of the arena would not believe what she said.

I guess they are giving her a pass because she is neither a politician, nor a polished speaker. It could also be that they know the right wing would attack them if they claimed Melania Trump's delivery was poor. Right wingers are already claiming the media is lying about Melania's speech being overly similar to First Lady Obama's 2008 speech.
