the way to see the speeches is to look for the side by side shots of the two women, and note how empty Melania's words seem, how lacking conviction. then, when it's Michelle's turn, you see a vibrant, animated human being, someone who actually believes and understands the words she's saying, projecting an aura of confidence and compassion very much lacking in Melania's rote recitation

am I wrong? these media goobers astound me with their lazy herd behavior. they even went gaga over dumpster boy's WWE foggy entrance, their tongues hanging halfway to their knees in stupefied astonishment. that EVERY SINGLY bobblehead agreed on the brilliance of Melania's oratory is all you need to know how strong the Groupthink rules in Oceania.

(for someone who has lived in the US for 18 years or so.) My daughter married a Frenchman who spoke almost no English until he came to live here when they married. The French accent is typically one of the hardest ones to lose when speaking in English. I did not watch the speech last night but, I saw clips this morning and I am in total agreement with you. It was easy to see that she was reading the speech. From what I saw I felt it was a bad idea to have her speak at the convention. I thought most of the people outside of the arena would not believe what she said.

I guess they are giving her a pass because she is neither a politician, nor a polished speaker. It could also be that they know the right wing would attack them if they claimed Melania Trump's delivery was poor. Right wingers are already claiming the media is lying about Melania's speech being overly similar to First Lady Obama's 2008 speech.
