RNC Republicans seem to want to have a conversation on "liberal" policies destroying America
I think almost every liberal out there would love to have August-November debating this. You'll notice they are long on accusations short on naming the policies. They're even shorter on explain which results are bad or policy changes that might reverse the trend.
Do they really want to debate the lack of upward mobility? Really?
Do they really want to discuss Jim Crow laws or civil rights?
Do they really want to talk about foreign trade?
Do they really want to talk about health care?
Do they really want to debate banking regulations?
Do they really want to discuss the role of religion in politics?
Honestly they've spent 8 years blocking most of Obama's moderate agenda. The stuff he actually passed (often watered down with conservative bloat) has worked. Most liberals can't wait for this mythical liberal agenda to actually be put in place. There's a reason Bernie is popular.
The bottom line is from NAFTA to Obamacare, most of what they hate are Republican ideas or compromises to liberal ideas to get passed GOP obstructionism. Violence is down, the debt is down, health insurance enrollment is up, employment is high, social security and medicare still exist,... what the * are do they hate. America isn't perfect, but it is hardly as bad off as it was when Bush left office for many people.
It's that he's black. Really that is it. He's black and she's a woman. They hate it so much that minorities have a little power now (not even a huge amount) that they're going to vote for a human carney. 16 years ago if a liberal dared call for America to improve or suggest America was less than first in something we'd be called a treasonous commie, now its the entire GOP platform. Well, America is great now and its going to get better the more inclusive it is. They just have to eat it if they don't like it because its not going back.
