Retweeting is not defamation

Just watched an interview on MSNBC. Apparently Donald's general counsel just said that if something retweeted, it is not plagiarism or defamation. Social media does not count as hate speech. He all but said Cruz should be destroyed. Yeah, how dare someone say anything negative about his client.

They publish it, they own it.

Same goes with re-tweeting.

I've met his sort before - and its seems Donnie
surrounds himself with jerks (also see Manafort).
Hyper aggressive and without a moral bone in their bodies.
An "Ends justify the means" type of asshole.
Ugh.

ps when the attorney dodged the question and
started spouting on about how wonderful his
benefactor is... it was scary, cult-like.

He sounded like Dennis Hopper in Apocalypse Now...
"Hey, man, you don't talk to the Colonel. You listen to him. The man's enlarged my mind. He's a poet warrior in the classic sense. I mean sometimes he'll... uh... well, you'll say "hello" to him, right? And he'll just walk right by you. He won't even notice you. And suddenly he'll grab you, and he'll throw you in a corner, and he'll say, "Do you know that 'if' is the middle word in life? If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you, if you can trust yourself when all men doubt you"... I mean I'm... no, I can't... I'm a little man, I'm a little man, he's... he's a great man! I should have been a pair of ragged claws scuttling across floors of silent seas..."

If there is a publication, and it it involves slander or libel, claiming someone is a sexual pervert, or attacking their profession, it does not matter if it is in a newspaper, a blog, or a tweet.
