The GOP is spiteful...think of everything social issue they endorse: No to welfare (fuck 'em) no to unemployment (go get jobs, even if they don't exist because No fair business taxes...each thing is just to *spite* another.

Black lives can't matter. *ALL* lives have to matter to spite them (aside: and we all know it's not the point of BLM, but I digress)

He bulldozed his way to the nomination, just by appealing to spite.

My social media feed was chock full of women who *liked* that. (They don't care. They're voting for him)

It's a lowest common denominator thing, and if you point it out, some will see it.
