(81,110 posts)Bernie himself does not appear to be one of them and I deeply appreciate that. I'm just glad to see all (or most) of us are working toward the same shared goal now. It's not just a campaign cliche - we ARE stronger when we're working together.

(3,580 posts)I didn't vote for him in my primary but I thought the back and forth between Hillary and Bernie was pretty mild compared to some fights in the past.

(40,416 posts)Always! So one can make a credible argument that he is a Democrat (big D).
Vermont is a weird place politically. What they call an independent, everywhere else is called a Democrat. It's like the Democratic Farmer Labor (DFL) party in Minnesota. Does anybody credibly argue that it isn't the same as the national Democratic Party in any meaningful way? So much the same for Vermont independents.

Anonymous hacks ISIS. Does that mean Obama is running Anonymous? No.

(218 posts)This Russian bs that's being pushed is just that: bullshit!!! Please refrain from trying to excuse what the DNC actually did. They have denied not one of the e-mails released. You do a disservice to Clinton and Sanders by propagating such a narrative.

"a purported hacker calling himself Guccifer 2.0 (not to be confused with a separate hacker known as Guccifer"
It is my understanding that Guccifer 2.0 chose his handle as a tribute to Guccifer. That was widely reported in the initial Guccifer 2.O stories.

(10,533 posts)Didn't you say you were officially "done" with our nominee? "Fuck you Hillary"...weren't those your words just two days ago?
Are you going to post another apology thread here and soak up the recs, and then post an apology for your apology over at the Temper Tantrum Collective?
retrowire
(10,345 posts)Allow me to explain.
I apologize to whomever feels slighted. It's the human thing to do.
I can change my opinions over time. And they do change. And they can BE changed. Another human characteristic, no surprise.
My purpose? Do I need one? Is there a position that should be applied for? Or maybe I can be a registered Democrat who joined the party for Bernie.
Maybe I can be a freshly minted Democrat who feels lied to and cheated?
Maybe I can be who I am? Is that a purpose? Would that appease you? Because in the end, I don't serve you.
But I'm not breaking the TOS here. So, carry on.
Maven
(10,533 posts)Your opinion, as expressed by you two days ago, is that you despise Hillary Clinton and do not support the Democratic Party. So your motive in coming back here to push this particular story could only be to sow discord and undermine support for the nominee. Your own reply to me shows that you feel "lied to and cheated" and are here to redress a grievance from the primaries. That is a violation of the spirit, if not the letter, of the TOS.
And yes, people have the right to change their opinions in good faith. What they don't have the right to do is manipulate people on both sides of the fence and expect not to be called on it. I honestly didn't have the slightest idea who you were before this whole "public apology" gambit you pulled, but as a first impression, it was a doozy. Your actions have completely undermined any credibility or goodwill you might have built here.
As for the charge that I am "stalking" you, please do not flatter yourself. If you don't want to be noticed, then stop engaging in attention-seeking behavior. This is a community of grown-up progressives, many of whom have invested decades in the project of winning social and economic justice in small but significant, hard-won steps. I take comfort in the knowledge that we as a community far outnumber those "freshly minted" (and then un-minted, then sort-of-minted, and now I guess un-minted again?) interlopers who are prepared to see the whole country burn because they didn't get their way. Now, back to the Temper Tantrum Collective, I suppose, hopefully to do some deep thinking.
retrowire
(10,345 posts)I can have my mind be changed. Events could happen after all.
And how am I manipulating anyone here?
Am I speaking ill of the candidate? No. I don't intend to break any of DU's rules here.
If you think I am, then feel free to alert me. It won't change how I feel in a very good way.
And please, don't be so hurt by my apology, it was sincere. My apologies to how I was to people have nothing to do with how I feel about the democratic process.
I can encourage unity and regret for my actions and still be upset about other things the next day. You know that right?

(65,616 posts)Now all they have to do is keep the mainstream media from baiting them into losing votes by staying on target. Trump's campaign is in shambles, perfect timing for Team HRC to pounce.
