"How Putin Weaponized Wikileaks to Influence the Election of an American President"

http://www.defenseone.com/technology/2016/07/how-putin-weaponized-wikileaks-influence-election-american-president/130163/

"Close your eyes and imagine that a hacking group backed by Russian President Vladimir Putin broke into the email system of a major U.S. political party. The group stole thousands of sensitive messages and then published them through an obliging third party in a way that was strategically timed to influence the United States presidential election. Now open your eyes because that’s what just happened.

On Friday, Wikileaks published 20,000 emails stolen from the Democratic National Committee. They reveal, among other things, thuggish infighting, a push by a top DNC official to use Bernie Sanders’ religious convictions against him in the South, and attempts to strong-arm media outlets. In other words, they reveal the Washington campaign monster for what it is"

Debbie stepped down at the request of Obama and Hillary only because she did not want to cause problems for Hillary and Tim's big nights. As far as I can tell, no one has verified any emails.

She's a distraction so they canned her to take away that distraction, but some goons aren't buying that...ask yourself...were these ALL the DNC emails they hacked into...no...they just released selected one...it's a smear and obvious to anyone.

to see. Way too many details present for this to be some great big 'fairy tale'.

You can have your own opinion but there are clinical diagnoses for those that have their own realities and facts. It really doesn't matter who hacked the system. The facts remain that the DNC was not impartial during the campaign. Regardless where the hack came from.

And I highly resent the commands to 'fall in line' since Bernie has already endorsed Hillary for there are still valid discussions and votes to be held on the rules and the party platform.

I think Manafort is behind it (because of all his shady ties to unsavory characters in Russia and other places.)

None to be found? Yeah, I'm shocked. Not.

The DNC may have fucked up here and there, but the fact that these wiki fuckers never have a 'major' document dump about republicans is bullshit.

The source may or may not be a villain. The motive may or may not be sleazy. Both those things are separate issues from the wrongdoing evidenced by the wikileaks release. Even if Snowden had been a serial killer, I would have been glad to know what wikileaks released about my government and my Constitutional rights. The fact that a Democrat was in office at the time was not a reason for this Democrat to change her mind. The same thing applies to this release. The actions of the DNC were shameful, in violation of basic fairness and of its own charter. And, yes, I would feel the same way if I had been a Hillary. Ted Kennedy (and probably others) said, "Facts are stubborn things."So are principles.

I'm not a fan of Hillary, but those emails don't show anything I didn't already suspect.

Swing voters are unlikely to pay attention until closer to the election.

And conservatives already think Hillary is a murdering lesbian witch commie, so it won't turn any more of them against her.

That Defense One looks like a bit of an alarmist website that caters to the Defense industry.

I'd take their presentation of the "facts" with a brick of salt.

Trump is the midwife. Leave NATO, Putin will start reclaiming the former Soviet republics.

I doubt that Russia is pulling strings, I just think the people behind it believe the USA is the great satan and Russia isn't that bad.
