Gawd damn this is going to be painful to watch. I had high hopes for this convention but opening with a chorus of BOOS and jeering our own isn't painting the best picture.

(6,110 posts)Never seen a political convention without booing. Convention delegates are very emotionally involved with issues and candidates. Cheering and booing go hand in hand. (Particularly when mixed with alcohol at many conventions.)
If anything, the DWS angle will probably help ratings slightly. And many of the MSM discussions are including the Putin/Trump issues. So it is what it is.

(362 posts)It makes good sense for DWS to quit and it should be now. The optics of HRC appearing with her and her addressing the convention are horrible. If you did something that deserves quitting, do it now.
This just gives the GOP fuel to say, "see, we told you Hillary and the Dems are crooked".
This will be the news all thru the convention.

(28,394 posts)MSNBC keeps showing the clip of her being booed by the FL delegation this morning. I feel bad for her after all the work she put into the convention, and understand how badly she wants to be there, but she is starting to be "the story".... and it is time for her to go watch it in her hotel room.
