Quid pro quo

Trump appears to have intervened to make the Republican party's NATO plank (in their platform) much more Russia friendly. He also has been quoted in what amounts to a blind eye to possible Russian aggression in the Baltic. The question begging to be asked is: "Does Trump's position on Russia amount to a 'quid pro quo' - a payback for financial support from Russian moguls tied closely to Putin".
