Why all the alerts?

EVERY time I come to DU, I am asked to be part of a jury. . . . I used to be asked maybe once or twice per every 2 months?

I understand that emotions are running high, and it's difficult not to feel explosive under these circumstances. My irritability has definitely gotten worse.

I definitely supported Bernie. I am not happy about what's gone on. . . I definitely feel angry and betrayed. Nonetheless, I can't forget who the REAL enemy is, and his name is Donald Trump.

Whatever I feel about HRC right now is irrelevant. I'm voting for her. Do I love HRC? Nope. But I don't have to love Hillary to vote for her.

The facts are glaringly simple: Donald Trump is a huge danger to our country, whereas Hillary is NOT. Hillary, WHATEVER one may think of her, is brilliant. Hillary will have an extremely smart and capable cabinet. I don't even have a problem with Kaine, as I appreciate his anti-NRA stance, and I like the fact that he was a civil rights attorney. It's very, very difficult to find somebody who agrees 100%.

We need to stop fighting about this.

But, i'm not completely on board with the OP. The difference in a week seems a bit more, but not ridiculous.

I got called nearly every time i was on line. Now, it definitely is every time, sometime more than once or twice.

So, it's more, but not that much. Maybe i've been around so long that i still remember '04, '08' and '12. It doesn't seem any different than those years.

That I in any way support Trump, you can shove it where the sun doesn't shine. I would never vote for Trump, and all of the Bernie people supposedly voting for him over Clinton is a blatant lie, spread by MSM and other parties. When you find one or two people who say that, suddenly to you the whole lot are the same. You couldn't be more wrong

along with a minority of the people being alerted on.

We're going to be plagued with silly alerts until this mess (meaning the election) is over and the armchair quarterbacking is over.

I'm also a Bernie supporter. I'll always think he was the better candidate. However, I'm fine voting for Clinton with 80% of his platform. That's how politics works.

I'm absolutely thrilled to vote against Trump.

in jury duty but the new system seems pretty straight forward. Some have been very close to the line others violently over it. Look, it happens emotion and passions are running high and everyone takes out a little frustration from time to time. I like the new system. Like many here I read far more than I post because I don't always log in due to my connection.

It's so much more fun than discussing, you know, issues and ideas and events.

Others hope to run off everyone who disagrees with them, apparently not considering that you can't really have meaningful discussion if everyone thinks exactly the same way, which leads to a really boring site. (Check out DU's traffic report on Alexia if you don't believe me, or just consider how long it takes a new thread to drop off the front page now as compared to a few weeks ago.)

None of my posts about Hillary were hidden, three of my posts about Bernie were and I would imagine many more if not all were alerted on.

My only hidden post prior to this mess was for suggesting the assholes who were shitting on an escalator should be flogged.
