Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, (Especially the DNC delegates who are booing everything that moves)

The founding fathers did not design our bill of rights or the constitution so that any one person got everything they wanted.


Hell. Effing No.

They actually deliberately designed exactly the opposite: because we had seen for centuries what happened when some one got exactly what he wanted: War, disease, hunger, suffering, fear, hatred, retribution, instability, hopelessness, repeat.

If we can all suspend our own personal outrage, indignance, and hyper-offendedness, for just a moment, and remember that this country is designed to be better than any other, but certainly not perfect, we might stop claiming our own entitlement to indulge our overwhelming desire for victimhood.

This is NOT the United States of "Me, Myself, and I". If you believe that it is, go vote for fRump. That's how he sees it.

Instead, we might all take a collective breath and remember that the Supreme Court is about to have 3+ seats retired, and if you think you're unhappy now, wait until those seats are filled by an orange brainless, reality TV star who doesn't give one wit about anyone but himself.

Presidents come and go, but SCOTUS changes daily life for average people for DECADES.
