Huh. I liked Bill's speech a lot more than a couple MSNBC folks, evidently.

Rachel Maddow panned the beginning (thought he talked too much about himself).

I disagree completely with Steve Schmidt, who said it meandered & was too long (called it a wedding speech gone bad), especially for folks watching on tv.

Lawrence O'Donnell seemed to like it, though.

I thought it personalized Hillary very well, in addition to enumerating her accomplishments throughout her career.

IMO, that's what skeeved Rachel out

She deserved so much better from him.

She is an amazing woman and so much less flawed a human being as he is

who is on his third marriage and who openly fantasizes about fucking his daughter, and who openly boasts about the dozens of affairs he's had.

So, Trump is allowed to talk openly about how much his current plagerizing wife means to him, but it's off limits for Bill Clinton to talk about his 45-year relationship with his one and only wife?

You know what - fuck that. Fuck that very much.

I am allowed to have an opinion and just because Trump is a vile human being doesn't mean that Clinton didn't treat his wife badly.

Back then, I could not believe she would stay with him, but I was younger back then.

Again, you have no right to treat me like a piece of dirt for having a differing opinion than you do.

did - it showed the human and caring face of Hillary Clinton. THAT's what I needed to know to support her. For a long time during this primary I honestly thought she cared more about getting elected that doing the job but Bill's (and the numerous other) speech tonight convinced me otherwise.

So...Bill knocked it out of the park tonight.

He said that it was the elephant in the room that everyone wanted to hear about. (Apparently Jake sees elephants that no one else can see. Maybe they're pink.)

The panel's reaction was absolute silence. Wolf Blitzer was staring at him like he had lost his mind. Then Jake made it worse by babbling about how everyone knows that the Clintons don't have a normal marriage, but that's OK because, you know, they have to spend a lot of time apart. It was truly a WTF moment.

It's not always an easy road.

A Republican coworker actually said to me "What, we're supposed to believe that he was attracted to her in college? He likes women who are pretty."

I responded, "Yeah, and I was really surprised that none of Trump's kids talked about how much he hurt their mother when he very publicly dumped her for a younger women." Crickets.

It's none of their business, but they'll never let it go.

Thought I'd never say this, but even David Gregory on CNN has been far less annoying and even a breath of fresh air at moments.
