(21,784 posts)That's fine by me. I didn't want troops there either. I marched in protest against war in Iraq back in February 2003.
But FFS, don't hate the servicemen/women who are sent there.
If you are really patriotic, help these veterans when they get back home.

Please stop. You are taking the actions of a small number of crazies and projecting them onto the vast, vast majority of us who, despite supporting the Senator's more progressive beliefs, are committed to supporting Hillary in the general election. No need to slander those of us who are on your team now...

(9,494 posts)And this is how the whole world is seeing them. Bernie supporters are coming out of this looking worse than Donald Trump and it's their own fault. Heckling an American Hero. That was the topper. Sorry but they are the ones representing you. I am just an observer like everyone of the millions of people watching. You should take it up with them.

(314 posts)The primaries are over. For most of us, while our hearts are still with Bernie, we are now on your team. We have the same goals: a Democratic House, a Democratic Senate, and Hillary in the White House. So please, stop attacking the majority of us over the actions of a tiny number of people because it does nothing to further any one of those goals and only creates more unnecessary division after what was by almost any measure a very successful convention.
Go Hillary, and long live the political revolution!

(314 posts)If you're going to criticize the actions of a small number of crazies then that's fine; I'm right there with you. But if you're going to paint with broad brushes and pin the bad behavior of tiny number of people on all Bernie supporters, which the post I initially replied to intended to do, then I have a problem with that. And so should anyone else who cares about party unity and winning in November.

(34,136 posts)They are disruptors and troublemakers. I suspect that many that are left are infiltrators who were placed into the Sanders campaign to cause trouble between Sanders and the Democratic Party. They've stayed on to cause problems and disrupt the Democratic National Convention.
If what I suspect is true they have done their work well to cause ill will between Democrats and the Bernie Sanders movement.
Most Bernie Sanders truly believe in the ideals that his movement push and will work with Democrats and independents to get them done. They are the ones who are now supporting Hillary Clinton and who will help push her to accomplish the items that Bernie managed to get on the Democratic platform.
The disruptors will accomplish nothing if we refuse to let them divide us. We are stronger together.

Most people have to die AND save the lives of other soldiers in extraordinary circumstances to win this medal.
Only 3,515 people in the history of the US military have won a Medal of Honor out of the millions who have served.
I don't care if you are anti-war or anti-Hillary or whatever, you do not boo or protest a Medal of Honor Winner.
