A suspect in the death of an Ohio college student had a hidden room on his property with restraints, a freezer containing blood and evidence of additional potential victims, search warrants show.
That's just the start of a long list of items that included masks and a secret room concealed by hay bales.
Authorities charged James Worley, 57, this week with aggravated murder and abduction in the death of Sierah Joughin, 20.
The University of Toledo student went missing on July 19 while riding her purple bicycle in rural Fulton County, west of Toledo.

I'm betting this guy is a serial killer. One doesn't just start kidnapping and killing at age 57.

(25,923 posts)At that age, it seems unlikely that he just now decided to take up that sort of 'hobby.'

(80,708 posts)The fact that some violent criminals are also on drugs doesn't negate it. Some violent criminals drink booze (a lot of them, in fact) but that doesn't mean prohibition works.

"Worley returned to prison in 2000 on felony convictions of illegal manufacture or cultivation of marijuana and having weapons while under disability. He left in 2002, according to state records, after again unsuccessfully petitioning for early release."

(80,708 posts)a cannibal serial killer also grew pot doesn't mean that all pot growers are cannibal serial killers.
Cannibal serial killing is a crime, pot growing shouldn't be.

(80,708 posts)We should be putting people in prison for violent crimes, not for stuff like growing pot. Just because a violent criminal also grew pot once, doesn't negate that logic.
How much time did he get for the abduction versus for growing the weed, do you think?
