http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/07/fmr-fox-booker-harassed-by-ailes-for-20-years.html?mid=twitter_nymagThe morning after Fox News chief Roger Ailes resigned, The cable network's former director of booking placed a call to the New York law firm hired by 21st Century Fox to investigate sexual-harassment allegations against Ailes. Laurie Luhn told lawyers at Paul, Weiss that she had been harassed by Ailes for more than 20 years, that executives at Fox had known about it and helped cover it up, and that it had ruined her life. "It was psychological torture," she later told me......
Fox is going down hard. Looks like Ailes is a complete POS. Lock Him Up!

(2,902 posts)she could have saved others from the same horrors. These type of stories are always depressing.

(12,151 posts)Not sure I can take enough showers to get rid of the feeling I have after reading this article.
I've known Ailes was a scumbag since reading the Joe McGinnis book The Selling of the President: 1968, but this is a new depth of scum.

(13,076 posts)Fox News is going to have to pay up a ton and a lot of people are going to have to be fired if 21Cent Fox wants to isolate this from the parent company.
Don't ever let anyone forget that Trump is still supporting Ailes.

(6,831 posts)It appears Ailes has a "type" that he lusts after.

(13,579 posts)They all seem to be molded into a "type" that is supposed to appeal to past-middle-aged white guys in a way that makes them think the woman would be approachable and "doable" if they talked to them in a bar or something weird like that. Of course, this describes the demographics of the channel perfectly, although their fantasy would never come to pass.

(1,428 posts)The shit has hit the fan at Fox News. I can't recall a sex scandal of such large proportions from the highest levels of management. Major changes are coming to Fox News. Both Ailes and Fox will be sued up one side and down the other. There's no way Fox can address the issues without a full house cleaning of Fox News.
Ailes is a sick, predatory, degenerate, pervert. Fox News essentially handed him his own personal pleasure palace and sex farm to share with his loyal minions like Bill O'Rielly and Steve Doocy. This was not an isolated incident. This is the systemic and prolonged abuse of women in the workplace.
