Maddow covered how dRumpf did exactly the same thing when he held a rally in Long Island in the primary, where a bunch of white kids assaulted and stabbed hispanics, even killed one. He held the event down the block on the same street.

Maddow's coverage is from 3 months ago, during the NY primary. I can't get a link from MSNBC, though you might be able to, but here's a yahoo one.

https://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0LEVxprnpxXNgQAIMNXNyoA;_ylc=X1MDMjc2NjY3OQRfcgMyBGZyA3lmcC10LXMEZ3ByaWQDeEpHU004TXdRVXFfR2M5ckVNM2ZDQQRuX3JzbHQDMARuX3N1Z2cDMQRvcmlnaW4Dc2VhcmNoLnlhaG9vLmNvbQRwb3MDMQRwcXN0cgNtYWRkb3cgcmVhZ2FuIHBoaWxhZGVscGhpYSBtBHBxc3RybAMyOARxc3RybAM0NARxdWVyeQNtYWRkb3clMjByZWFnYW4lMjBwaGlsYWRlbHBoaWElMjBtaXNzaXNzaXBwaQR0X3N0bXADMTQ2OTg4MTk4OQ--?p=maddow+reagan+philadelphia+mississippi&fr2=sa-gp-search&fr=yfp-t-s&fp=1

It's a 20 min video, up to about min 11:45, it talks about Raygun dog-whistling in MS. The second half talks about the incidents in Patchogue, Suffolk County, Long Island.

Summary is that 4 days after Obama was elected on 11/4, a bunch of white teens went 'wilding', looking for Hispanic victims, attacked 4 people in 3 separate attacks, and wound up killing Marcello Lucero. The Daily News called them the "Long Island Lynch Mob". The Hispanic population there said that this was just one incident in years of unprovoked racist attacks, which the Suffolk County police did nothing about. In '09, the Justice Dept entered into an oversight agreement with the Suffolk County police, forcing them to investigate and prevent hate crime attacks.

dRumpf campaigned in the NY primary there, on the same street where Lucero was killed, 2 1/2 blocks away, and was introduced by Carl Palladino whipping up the crowd to chant about building the wall to keep Mexicans out.

The Deep South is his stronghold. A lot of people are saying Johnson's going to pick off some western states. That doesn't leave a lot of room for Trump. The old Confederacy, and not even all of that.

Gene Hackman, Willem Dafoe, Brad Dourif, and the always incredible Frances McDormand.

Yes, it is a fictionalized account. Yet it nevertheless tells a truth.

A powerful film like Mississippi Burning always tells a truth.

This is the town where the three civil rights workers were murdered in 1964, and where Reagan gave his first post-convention speech after being chosen as the Republican nominee in 1980. Comrade Trumpsky is trying to pull a Reagan but he's even less subtle.

There is dog whistling going on here, but it's being done for a much broader audience outside of this state. The symbolism for white supremacists in the other 49 states is that Trump is their guy, so by all means send money.

They have great (tacky, but glamorized for TV) casinos there. Their ads show bus loads of poor people from surrounding states coming in hoping they'll hit the big jackpot. It's a Trump wet dream!
