I'm not the fastest thinker on my feet, and I like to take time to frame responses. Perhaps Wolf just didn't connect the date of Khan's death with the date of Obama's first term until later.

That would make him a poor television interviewer. Perhaps he should work as a writer.

A TV journalist conducting an live interview has to be able to think on their feet. No matter how much preparation is undertaken before the interview, a good journalist has to be able to understand the answers and connect them into a narrative. That is their job.

You're absolutely right, anoNY42. Mr. Blitzer should work as a writer. Perhaps children's fiction would be a good fit for him.

I also experience "brain freeze" sometimes when I encounter people who make outlandish remarks.

I have a neighbor, and old crazy lady with wild red hair. When I moved in, she was walking by and stopped to talk. I learned from her that immigrants were causing all of the problems in our country. I was speechless.

I've had Tea Party co-workers who spewed hate and nonsense at work, and there's really not much that can be said to them after awhile. The more reasonable co-workers would often remain quiet around them too, and I assume it was for pretty much the same reason. They deemed it hopeless as well.

I hate to make Nazi comparisons, but from historical accounts, they were likewise extremely vocal compared to most Germans when they got started too.

And did you see where Anderson Cooper said something like Trump could have focused on the wrong answer that she gave on the Fox interview when she said that Comey said she didn't lie? Basically implying that he said she lied? I heard that and said WTF?!
