(6,991 posts)He's not going to leave the race. His ego is big as the Grand Canyon and then some.
He's a PATHOLOGICAL AND COMPULSIVE LIAR, which is frightening to say the least
"A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right."

Damn, I forgot to add that he's a sociopath to that list.
Let me go to bed on that one.

(63,221 posts)Snivelling little coward that he is. His oversized ego couldn't take having his poor, saggy ass handed to him by a woman.

(912 posts)Typical off the cuff statement that doesn't take into consideration the consequences. In some states, too late to replace. Just goes to show that he doesn't think about the movement - only himself.
Sorry Donnie, as her sisters told Princess Diana before she married Charles: "Sorry Dutchie too late to back out now, your face is already embroidered on the tea towels".

(2,103 posts)Claim: Donald Trump said on Meet the Press that he would drop out of the presidential race if polls showed him losing to Hillary Clinton.
MOSTLY FALSE
WHAT'S TRUE: Donald Trump said during an October 2015 appearance on Meet the Press that if polls indicated he wasn't going to win the Republican presidential nomination, he would drop out of the race.
WHAT'S FALSE: Donald Trump did not recently say on Meet the Press that he would drop out of the presidential race if polls showed him losing to Hillary Clinton.

(22,647 posts)He didn't want to be president: He wanted to select the president, to do his bidding.
I wonder if this failed run will also be the end of his empire???? Did he burn himself up?

(3,828 posts)That would be up to the RNC.
As for after his failed run, his plan will be to try to launch a tv network. He has set this up through his constant criticism of the media. He is jealous of Bloomberg, who has a successful network. Trump's hope is that his supporters would tune in in large numbers. The Trump Network would be like FOXNews, but with even more conspiracy theories. And if Roger Alies doesn't go to prison, he'll help Trump establish it. But given the trouble they had attracting convention sponsors, I don't see advertisers flocking to the trump network. Of course, if they have enough funding from Russian oligarchs, they may not need advertisers.

(22,647 posts)That gives intelligent people a target for the stupid in this country.
It will fail like everything else he's attempted. The GOP is full of losers: McCain, Mittens, Shrub, Palin.
They deserve each other.
