Ohio Showdown: Obama 1,500 vs About 100 for RMoney...

<snip>
Despite what had seemed to be a speech showdown, the two events were not of the same scope.

Obama spoke for more than 50 minutes, more than doubling Romney's comments, in what his campaign called the first in a series of major economic speeches. The settings offered different optics as well; Romney went coatless with his sleeves rolled up before about 100 people; Obama gave a formal address to 1,500 people.

Romney's reference to Obama's statement about the private sector "doing fine" recalled what was largely seen as a presidential gaffe last week. Even though Obama's aides said he was taken out of context, Obama conceded his misstep on Thursday, joking "It wasn't the first time. It won't be the last."

There wasn't anything new in this speech. Why give the republicans on fox this kind of ammo?

This election is too important. What about proposing student loan forgiveness, or possibly amnesty fr all undocumented imigrants?

The bridge is ready to collapse, but John Boehner refuses to repair any infrastructure.

Too bad for us that they didn't take him. Snooki would probably be a better congressperson than Boehner is.

J-Wow would kick his ass for crying too much!

I realize I'm new here so bring on the troll comments. I'm starting to get concerned about this election. I really don't think "it's bushs fault" is going to persuade anyone in Ohio or Pennsylvania. It might make you feel good to pull the troll card, but it doesn't move the progressive ause forward IMO.

don't you worry your little head about PA. The last time PA voted for a repuke President was 1988. Meanwhile NJ voted for Bush in 1988. How about worrying about Jersey?

as Al Gore knows well... Certainly there is a demographic in the fast-growing SW states like Colorado and Nevada and New Mexico, that is slowly canceling out any importance of the MW.

The preferred method of spelling "moron" by morons, particularly that of a Missouri redneck at a rally supporting the US led war in Iraq.

not considered a "gaffe"?

Rmoney's "private sector" buddies ARE doing fine.... especially when you have Dimon basically dismissing a $2 billion gambling loss as inconsequential.
