It's Easy for Me to Understand Trump's Efforts to Appeal to African-Americans

He's a bigot clumsily attempting to act like he's not one.

We have all seen this act in our personal lives. A white, male, 70 year old bigot, trying to convince himself that he's really not a bigot and trying to convince his contemporaries that everyone misunderstands him. In fact, we understand him all too well.

1. His description of African Americans

As jobless, uneducated, lacking health care, and their lives being “a total catastrophe” actually reinforced the assertion that he is a bigot.

Not only did he prove he is racist with that one-size-fits-all depiction of being black in America, but he spread his hateful notions far and wide with his "outreach to blacks."

2. Joe Scarborough tried to spin it as Don the Con was "at least trying to talk to African American

voters", but Eugene Robinson just eviscerated that lame ass argument, saying that if he really wanted to speak to the Black community, he wouldn't have turned down every invitation to actually speak to African Americans. Don the Con was actually talking to Whites in the Philly &Washington D.C. suburbs, saying, "see, I'm not a racist so you can vote for me."

3. CNN panelist said it was a "bankshot". Trump is trying to appeal to white educated voters by

'proving' he is not racist. This has nothing to do with him getting the african american vote. It has nothing to do with african americans period.

4. He reminds me of racist co-workers whose main views of African Americans...

... come from watching low-information media coverage of inner city riots, the Black Panthers openly carrying guns in public (back in the 60's), etc.
