Pretty annoying to set up (need a drill at minimum) but they're great. You can use their app and view the cam and past recordings. You'd need a monitor / TV to plug it in to. I got a cheap LCD monitor at Goodwill for $10. If it burns out I can just get another so I leave it on all the time.

In an urban subdivision. It's not a bad place. Not a gated community but mostly new houses.

The final straw was someone stealing chairs from my porch. Replaced them with cheap $20 chairs from Wal-Mart that I reupholsted with black canvas outdoor fabric. Installed security cameras the same day. HOA complained that there were some loose wires hanging (I did it in one day and was tired and forgot to tack in one wire to make it look nice / conform to the house; fixed that later).

Only had to literally move the camera 3 degrees to fixtate on the yardsign... not a big deal. If anything I'm annoyed I lost some view of the driveway but I think that the assholes stealing crap see the cameras so they won't do anything anymore anyway.

A local jerk got caught, was a town worker. Not fired or fined. Told to stop or else. Should have been told to at least apologize in writing and to restore the signs. This shit goes on every year.

Post a note to your sign -- "If you decide you you must steal or ruin this sign to show your "American" spirit, just know that for every sign destroyed, 10 more go up in it's place"
