Wasn't as fun as it sounds. I wonder who paid for the survey though. First they asked if election was held today between HRC and DT who would I vote for? I said Hillary.
Then they asked if the election were held today between HRC, DT, Gary and Jill who would I vote for? I said still Hillary.
Then they asked (Paraphrasing) "Will you be voting reluctantly for Hillary Clinton only to vote against Trump or will you enthusiastically vote for Hillary Clinton because she's the best candidate?"
I asked if I could pick both. I mean, I am enthusiastically voting against Trump but I do think Hillary is clearly more qualified and closer to what I believe but there's still a part of me that wanted Bernie all along. But Hillary is certainly the best among the current nominees.
They also asked about Rubio and Murphy so I got to laugh at the water boy for a second. Not sure if the pollster was on my side there or not. Ruck Fubio though.

(12,265 posts)We have not been polled since we got rid of the land line. I think that is a major issue in terms of these polls being accurate.

(12,132 posts)I haven't had a land line for years. They called from my area code which is the only reason I answered a number I didn't recognize. ..I use my cell for work and it could have been a work call.

(11,001 posts)answers that were formatted. The person ignored that and referred to the prewritten selections. It was hilarious because I called Trump a buffoon, illiterate, embarrassment, and a litany of other things.

(64,867 posts)It wasn't a prez poll. It was for state senate. It was clearly a push poll trolling for support for the repub woman. (She's running against a dem woman in this race.)
Like you, i editorialized. When the subject of schools came up the question included what the repub would do and, of course, it included "choice" and vouchers and blah blah blah. The question was whether that would make me more prone to vote for her. I said "No, that is the silly thing they've all been saying for 20 years. Old bad ideas are still bad ideas."
Similar from me when the subject of jobs and growth came up. Standard "lower taxes on wealth and business", incentives, etc. Made similar disparaging comments about how tired that was and how it didn't work the last 30 years, so why would it work now.
I could tell the woman on the phone was amused a bit. So, i didn't feel like i was beating her up. Given that they said they were recording the phone for data collection and quality control, i was glad i did what i did.
