We'll just miss the 2012 record low in extent, but I don't know what that even means any more, given the degree of fracturing that now spans most of the cap.
There are two "arms" (if you will) of rotten pack, one nearly reaching Svalbard, and the other reaching open water just NE of Franz Josef land.
Bear in mind, the image below is from three days ago.
