Why does Obama want to veto the ill to let 9/11 families to sue the Saudi's?

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2016/09/09/obama-could-veto-911-bill-that-gives-victims-families-right-to-sue-saudi-arabiaon-911-n2216068

It passed the Senate unanimous vote. Is he still worried about former Presidents being involved in law suites? Does he REALLY worry that much about US relations with the Saudi's? He's leaving the WH in a few months and since his relationship with the Saidi's hasn't been that terrific anyway, why does he care about this bill?

let's not assume that he will.

If he does issue a veto, he will give us an explanation and we can argue about it then.

...Loose ends that would:

Not only embarrass, but IMPLICATE certain members of the Saudi Royal Family that not only donated funds to the hijackers (15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudi citizens), but clandestinely provided resources and support to said hijackers;

Strongly suggest that high-ranking members of the Saudi Royal Family were very aware that attacks on the United States were imminent;

Strongly suggest that certainly high-ranking members of the Bush*/Cheney* administration, AT THE VERY LEAST were not only aware of the upcoming attacks in the United States, but actively pursued a course of deliberate non-action, allowing the 9/11 attacks to take place.

I believe, again, IMHO, that even fine, upstanding, patriotic men and women THAT DO NOT BELIEVE THE OFFICIAL STORY will do everything in their power to make sure the official 9/11 story is supported and repeated, even going to far as to cast aspersions against anyone that would challenge the official 9/11 story and time-line, realizing that the absolute truth regarding 9/11 could do irreparable damage to the faith, credit and reputation of the United States.

Is that he is afraid that it would open up the flood gates for litigation against the US. This is a smokescreen that really isn't a concern.

The real reason is oil.

With many Global Economies still struggling after thirty years of austerity,can not take a Saudi retrenchment of their Sovereign Wealth funds. It is all about the money,fifteen Billion Military sale to the Saudi's last week,Goldman-Sachs and JP Morgan just sold Saudi Bonds worth several billions. And Washington is ripe with Pay for Play. Say no more.

Do we want Judicial Watch determining our foreign affairs? A lawsuit can enrage citizens of other countries, ruin useful alliances, impair cooperation to fight terrorism. foreign affairs are better administered by the President who can weigh all the many interests at stake.

I don't always agree with him, but its always well thought out. In this case he may be afraid of how other countries could respond to the US in the future.
