After the moment of silence, the first speaker was the son of a victim . . . . .

. . . . who, in the years right after losing his dad he spent summers at a camp specifically for the children who lost parents at the Trade Center.

What is remarkable is that now, as an adult, he works a similar camp - for the survivors of Sandy Hook.

Can there even be a doubt that this young man's dad is incredibly proud of the son he raised until age 10?

Oh how I wish for a world where none of that will be needed any longer.
