Why is there so much "hate" in people since 9-11-2001?

I have often wonder what happened to this country since that awful day. This country came together and worked side by side to put this back on tracks. I began to see the change in people around the time Bush ordered troops into Iraq. Since that time the trust in government and the trust the everyday person dwindled and now days it is worse than ever before.

The reason for my comments stem from what I witnessed today. I was at a restaurant earlier today, all they could talk about Hillary and her leaving the ceremony because she was not feeling well. Now, many of these people felt bad and hopes she is fine. But for one table, which they were very loud, were saying she should be in in jail and not at the ceremony. The manager went over to the table and asked them to keep their comments to themselves and lower their tone. They did not listen and kept up the rant, one of them actually yelled out he "hated all democrats and those who wants Hillary to president". A few moments, a plain clothes police officer got up and walked over to them and said that they needed to leave. They got mad and got up and walked out. This all on the day of 9-11. Oh by the way, everyone else was clapping as they left!

The start of the culture wars. Before then, the country was not so tied together. N.Y. liberals hardly ever bumped up against bible belt regressives, and groups lived without much awareness of halfway- across -the- county "others".

He would tell you the moment it started was the television coverage of the Watts riots and the tipping point was the anti-war movement forever cleaving away the white working class with the appearance of disloyalty. My parents were off the chart liberal for their time, but there is nothing my father hated more than hippies.

They stoke it.
Encourage it.
Get elected with it.
Does anyone remember way back after the original attack people were actually smothering to death because they were duct taping their houses out the fear of Anthrax attacks or sarin or something.... that kind of fear....

And it's strange, the things they should fear they ignore or say it's just a plot to throw them off.

It's a good things have lightened up with the duct tape though, once in while a little extra comes in handy when fixing a car or truck

even better that everyone applauded. Right wing nuts are everywhere. They have to interject and be HEARD BY ALLLLLL! Seriously, they do. They want everyone to know that they are right, gosh darnit! I can't stand them. My former friend's dad is a Baptist, of the Southern variety, and not a Jimmy Carter type, lol, how I wish, anyhow, he was (and surely still is) spouting Fox talking points about Obama and Democrats. I told him one day, well let's just agree to disagree because I'd rather not discuss this over and over with you every time I see you. I said this quite politely. He went off, saying you come over here and act like you're soooooo nice and religious, but you're not! You don't have godly views! You're not a Christian! LORD, help me. I just looked at him after breathing calmly and said with a smile, (his name), this is the exact reason you shouldn't be talking about politics or watching Fox News all day long, God bless you. And I never saw him again...

Him, and people like him are everywhere. They blurt out their political leanings and hate about Dems and Hillary/Obama at gas stations, in the grocery aisles, at the bank, everywhere! I'm sure right now at Disney, some poor bastard is in line to see Mickey, and a right wing tool is going on about Hillary being soooo ill! And that poor bastard is thinking, seriously, is this happening in line to see Mickey! I'm sorry you had your 9/11 memorial day ruined by that idiot, but, at least you saw him get taken out by cops! LOL

GW Bush who started two wars and crashed the economy. Then they obstructed every last thing Obama tried to do for 8 years. All the while, Fox News and RW radio preached nothing but hate and more lies.
Hence, the hate you see today.

They have been an increasingly heard source of hate your fellow american propaganda. Constant feeding of envy and bigotry. If you listen for Fox for more than a few minutes you are subjected to it, and AM radio is rife with it.

I have no hate in me. But I am angry still that a perverse President and political party exploited our nation grief in 2001 to start a pointless war in 2003 that continues to destabilize the region and the world.

I won't give in to hatred, because it is blind. But I won't forget that a man who had a chance to unite the world against terror instead chose to expand the violence and make his friends a little profit. I won't forget that 4000 Americans and over a million Iraqis died for that profit.

I won't forget.

day after day after day after day, and they get the idea that it's socially acceptable to behave in public the way those performers do on their shows. Unfortunately, those people won't see that they were ejected from the restaurant for their obnoxious behavior. They probably believe they were being persecuted for their opinions.
