If Clinton Hadn't Showed Up & Cited Pneumonia...

The exact same cr*pstorm from the rightwing, media lapdogs and pearl-clutchers would have happened.

IF Clinton hadn't showed up and her campaign said it was due to pneumonia, the conspiracy assh*les would just create some sick nonsense over that.

The backlash if she had stayed home yesterday would have been huge.
Maybe she should have hired an impersonator

to hug his dying grandmother. Priorities first - always.
This did not have to happen.

I think if they had announced the diagnosis people would have understood. I do understand why she wanted to be there, though. I'm not being critical of that decision.

In any case, as long as she rests and gets well, all the talk on this will give her a nice bounce once she shows up fit, rested, and ready for action. Seriously, then it will help her, because people will feel like the health issue (always present for older candidates) has been dealt with. Her ability to recover will be seen as proof of her basic fitness.

That's why she should lay up for a week or two and give herself time to really recover. Once she hits the trail again, if she's clearly not well it will make people uneasy.

As long as she makes a good showing in the Sept 26th debate, this excitement now will wind up being good for her.

Meanwhile Trump gets 50 times the publicity as the MSM tries their best to get him elected.

trump the text or the sound.

Yes, Clinton would have given some ammo to the kooks by announcing she had pneumonia and was taking some time off. But normal people understand that anyone can get sick, especially running around all over the country and meeting thousands of people.

Unfortunately, the lingering impression of her trying to walk and climb into that van is 1000 times worse than any sick leave she takes from the campaign.

The Clintons did what they almost always do, which is to try and conceal a small negative. And, as often happens with them, they inadvertently created a much larger negative.

I hope she gets well quickly, and doesn't try to come back too soon.
