ANyone else notice that media are now playing the Deplorables clip from the beginning

This is what she fucking said

"To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables," Clinton said. "Right? Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it."

And to be grossly specific, it's way more than half of them

I think they've started believing the shit they say about no one liking her. They probably thought they'd have free reign to finish her off with that statement.

And yes, it's way more than half, I agree.

they are masters at manufactured outrage (especially the Trump campaign!).

Trump's deplorable supporters can't even fight back against this characterization without proving how deplorable they are, by hurling racist and sexist slurs every time they "defend" themselves. It makes me wonder if this was all a brilliant strategic plan on Clinton's part – if it was, it seems to be working.

and this has made it obvious that the television gas bags are the ones who are far out of the mainstream. They are the ones who create all the false equivalencies, grading on a curve, and horse race nonsense.

entire population, when she referred only to half of his supporters who amount only about 15% of the voting population not 50% of the US population. Some supposedly nonpartisan reporters and pundits are also pushing that lie.

They are all deplorable including most of the corporate media

Most others now saying they'll vote for him are often either GOP stalwarts or Clinton haters, but one could argue he's consolidated all the "deplorable" voters from other candidates, but won't count them right now.

So, some back of the envelop calculations (swagging from my memory):

In the primaries he got ~15-25% early on, then ~35-45% later, so maybe 30% of GOP primary voters

Assume GOP turnout in the primaries was a generous 60%, Trump got maybe 18-20% of registered GOP voters in the primary.

The GOP makes up between 30-40% of registered voters that would imply that his "supporters" are ~5-8% of registered voters, so half would be ~3-5% of registered voters.

Given the surveys we see on attitudes of the public, think she may have underestimated the percentage when it comes to his "supporters".

of the sentence. It is now back-firing on them. Yesterday Tweety said HRC in her response mentioned grossly generalistic. He appeared more concerned with the word 'generalistic' and it was clear that his lazy ass did not watch her original comment.

I started a thread about the deliberate omission of the beginning the same day she said it. The truth is the vast majority of them starting with Don the Con are all fucking deplorable.

She should have adopted the tactic of UK MP Dennis Skinner in Parliament a few years ago:

Skinner: "Half the Tory Members opposite are crooks"

Speaker: "The honourable member MUST withdraw that remark"

Skinner: "OK, half the Tories are NOT crooks"
